2019 PBA Festival

Each year, PBA sponsors a Spring Bonsai Festival jointly with the National Arboretum and the National Bonsai Foundation. This Spring Bonsai Festival lasts for three days and consists of a bonsai show, a regional juried show, a new talent competition, beginner workshops, bonsai demonstrations and a bonsai vendor bazaar. The vendor bazaar provides bonsai artists and any visitors the opportunity to purchase bonsai, plant material, tools, and pots related to the art and horticulture of bonsai.

PBA is again pleased to host the Spring festival at the National Arboretum!

Parking and Museum Admission is free of charge

One of the best perks of the PBA Festival is the plant material you can acquire on premise from the various vendors. To further the bonsai experience, PBA will be holding beginners workshops in the workshop tent. Prospective bonsai enthusiasts are able to be paired up with experienced PBA bonsai practitioners and work on trees. Those who sign up for the beginner's workshop will get:

- Plant material

- Planting pot

- Soil for repotting

- Instruction

Walk-ins are also accepted but will depend on workshop vacancy. It is a very good opportunity to be introduced into the bonsai art form and has and always will be a great experience.
